
Annotations are used on SLD to give authority for amendments or other effects and also to provide certain types of editorial information. For a full explanation of how annotations are presented in the legislation on SLD, see Annotations.
There are seven annotation types currently in use on SLD as follows:

Note that some annotations dating from before the basedate may be assigned to the wrong annotation types. We are re-assigning them to the correct types as we come across them. |

Northern Ireland Variations In Northern Ireland revised legislation, all annotations inserted prior to 2006 will appear as F-notes. At present this means that they will all appear under the heading ‘Amendments – Textual’. We are considering options for correcting this. |
