I am replying to your letters dated 17th May 2000 and 25th May 2000
. As Mrs A???? is no longer with the Authority your correspondence has been passed to me for consideration. I have today forwarded copies of that correspondence to the force and asked them to comment on the points you make.
Under current legislation, once a decision has been made regarding the outcome of a complaint
the Authority does not have the power to re-open a case. Only the force concerned can do so which is why, as already stated, and I have sent copies of this and your own letters , to them for consideration.
