SIR A. GRAHAM
Chairman
A Winter Esq Our ref: COM 1999/007075
19 July 2000
Dear Mr Winter
Thank you for your letter dated 30 June referring to my letter dated 6 April to your local MP The Rt Hon Frank Dobson.
As I said in that letter, the Member of the Authority reviewing the investigation into your complaint, Mrs Linda Alien was shortly due to write to you outlining her view about the possibility of disciplinary action against the officers concerned, following her consideration of the report of the investigation and the related papers.
As you will be aware from Mrs Alien's letter, she came to the conclusion that she did not consider that the evidence available could meet the standard required to justify disciplinary action.
I concur with her view and have to say that her decision brings the consideration of this complaint by the Police Complaints Authority to its conclusion. I know this will be disappointing to you, but I can assure you your complaint has been fully considered by the Authority and it is not possible to pursue it any further.Yours sincerely

SIR ALISTAIR GRAHAM
Chairman
